JFK Design-Build is a residential design and construction company. Our expertise is in the design and construction of custom single family homes and multi-family residential projects.

Our approach is to provide design and construction services in a front where design and construction are integrated together into a unified process; a so called one-stop-shop. Although we exist as separate entities, the joining of forces where the designer, builder, and owner work together in a team-like atmosphere creates great advantages which ultimately lead to the best possible solutions for unique and successful homes.

Our Mission is to use our talents and experience to lead you through the design and construction process. Our integrated team-like atmosphere where sharing ideas, programming information, and construction costs are used in open discussions as tools for design. We pride ourselves in our ability to openly share the building construction & labor costs which allows for the prioritizing of building components based on their value to you. This streamlines the process and ultimately provides increased control & flexibility for the client.


One stop shop
One firm, the teaming of two entities working together with the owner as design-build simplifies the process with fewer players involved. This allows for increased core focus on project development. The design-builder and the owner can develop a mutual understanding of the projects goals and expectations with greater clarity. Design-build where the designer and the contractor are located in one office, provides the best opportunity for integrated communication and coordination.


Budget Accuracy
Design-Build integrates design with construction to achieve project goals within a desired budget. Known as value engineering, the project team shares ideas for prioritizing building components with the goal of designing within the project budget. Unlike the process of sorting through differing cost interpretations from multiple bidders where contractors complete on cost rather than best value, a more accurate determination of project costs is achieved early in the design- build process because of the immediate input from construction and estimating specialists. This allows an owner to make better informed decisions both for short term affordability and long term planning for potential upgrades and expansion.


Increased Control & Flexibility
Increased control and flexibility is achieved as a result of design-builder and owners involvement together through the process of programming, designing, budgeting, and scheduling. This involvement provides the client greater assurance of the projects success. In traditional design-bid-build arrangements, if the architect and contractor are at odds about responsibility for a particular project issue, the owner lacks control over how these disagreements are resolved between the two parties.
